How to Redeem a Reward
Steps for browsing gift cards and custom rewards, confirming a redemption, and what to expect while your reward is fulfilled.

Employees who have earned points and want to spend them on a reward.
What you'll achieve
You'll browse the reward catalog, choose a gift card or custom reward, confirm the point cost, and submit your redemption. Afterwards you'll receive an email confirmation and β once your reward is fulfilled β instructions for claiming it.
Before you begin
You need points in your Earnings balance (the balance shown in your header bar). Earnings come from receiving recognition, celebrations, and manual awards β they're separate from your monthly Allowance. For the full breakdown, see How Points Are Earned and Tracked.
Point values:
In PraisePal, 100 points = US$1 in reward value. A 1,000-point gift card is worth $10.
PraisePal offers two types of rewards, each in its own section of the sidebar:
Gift Cards β Brands like Amazon, Uber, and others, available in multiple denominations. These are fulfilled by PraisePal.
Custom Rewards β Rewards your company creates and manages, such as merchandise, experiences, or vendor deals. These are fulfilled by your company's admins.
Steps
Redeeming a gift card
Open the catalog β Go to Rewards > Gift Cards in the sidebar.
Find a card β Browse or search by name. You can filter by Location (country) and Category to narrow things down. Turn on Redeemable only to hide cards that cost more than your current balance. This is off by default, so you'll initially see the full catalog.
Choose your denomination β Click a card to open the redemption dialog. Select a denomination β for example, $10, $25, or $50 β and the point cost updates to match. If the brand includes Terms & Conditions, they'll appear below the denomination. These come directly from the brand and are worth reviewing.
Confirm β The button shows the exact cost (e.g. Confirm β 1,000 points). Click it, and your points are deducted immediately.
Redeeming a custom reward
Open the catalog β Go to Rewards > Custom Rewards in the sidebar.
Find a reward β Browse or search by name. You can filter by Location (including International for rewards available everywhere) and toggle Redeemable only.
Review and confirm β Click a reward to open its details. Custom rewards have a fixed point cost β there's no denomination to choose. Click the confirm button, and your points are deducted immediately. If the reward has limited stock, it may sell out.
What to expect after
Gift cards
You'll receive a confirmation email right away letting you know your redemption is being processed. The actual gift card arrives in a separate email within 5β7 business days and includes instructions from the brand β follow those to claim your reward.
Your redemption status is visible at Account > Activity > Reward Redemptions under the Gift Cards tab, where it moves from Pending to Fulfilled once your gift card is ready.
Custom rewards
You'll receive a confirmation email, and your company's admins are notified about the request. Admins review and progress your redemption through Pending, Approved, and Fulfilled β you receive an email at each stage so you know where things stand.
How the reward itself is delivered (physically, digitally, or otherwise) depends on what your company has set up. Follow the instructions in your fulfilment email.

Use "Redeemable only" to filter the catalog down to rewards you can afford right now β saves scrolling past items out of reach.
